Most privacy policies are long because the product collects a lot. This one is short for the opposite reason.

The app collects nothing

Negativo does not connect to the internet. There are no accounts, no telemetry, no usage reports, no crash reporting and no update checks. The app does not talk to any server at all — ours or anyone else's.

Your photos, thumbnails, catalog, keywords, ratings, notes and GPX tracks stay on your Mac. We could not read them if we wanted to, because nothing ever gets sent anywhere. There is no account to attach them to and no server to receive them.

This website sets no cookies

No tracking cookies, no analytics, no advertising scripts, no embedded third-party widgets. The map imagery on the home page is served from this domain rather than hotlinked, so no other company learns that you visited.

Because nothing here tracks you, there is no cookie banner to click. A banner would be us asking permission for something we don't do.

What we do hold

There are exactly two things, and only if you choose them:

Purchase details, if you buy a licence. These are handled by our payment provider, which collects what it needs to take payment and issue an invoice. We never see or store your card number.
Your email and message, if you write to support. That thread is kept while we resolve the issue and for as long as tax law requires us to keep records of a sale it relates to.

Neither is used for marketing. There is no newsletter to be added to, and we do not sell, rent or share this data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you (access), correct it if it is wrong (rectification), delete it (erasure), hand it over in a portable format (portability), or restrict and object to how we use it.

To exercise any of these, email support@negativo.app from the address you bought with or wrote from. We will reply within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason.

Purchase records tied to an invoice are the one thing we cannot always delete on request, because Spanish tax law requires us to retain them. We will tell you if that applies and delete everything else.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
